We started on Sunday morning leaving town at 8am heading south. Nine of us all go for a good days tramping. We arrived at the Gorge ready to do the Loop track – 2 hours all up. The forest was great with amazing pungas and good views. After the loop we headed up a side creek to the Otago University Hut were we had lunch. Afterwards we went further up creek to some limestone cliffs, then we walked back to the carpark and drove back to Oamaru for refreshments and home.
