Trotters Gorge is just off State Highway 1 a few kilometres north of Palmerston. In the gorge is a scenic reserve with a 2.5 km (two hours return) loop track. The track goes through a variety of bush types and passes cliffs, caves and interesting rocky outcrops formed 12,000 to 15,000 years ago. Good views out to the sea are obtained from the upper parts of the track.
This walk will be suitable for all levels of fitness.
