Catherine will be running this trip and has provided the following information:

This will be a trip of several days in the Macetown area.
We will base ourselves in the Macetown historic recreation area where we will camp, and do a day walk to the Homeward stamper battery, plus various other walks to look at historic sites.  There will probably also be a walk to Roses hut on the Motatapu track, with an overnight stay there, then walk back out the next day (10 km each way).
If you are interested contact Catherine as soon as possible. Numbers need to be confirmed by early October so a 4WD shuttle can be booked for the drive into Macetown. At the end of the trip we will walk out (approx. 15 km).
