A nice walk just south of and overlooking Omarama.  Last time the club did this trip it was too windy to get to the top, so maybe this time it will be different.

The track starts from a DoC easement a few kilometres east of Omarama.  The whole walk is approximately 15 km. From the summit (1558 m) there should be good views over Omarama, Ahuriri River, Lake Benmore and surrounding countryside.
