This is an interesting area not too far from Timaru.  The main track is 8 km return, easy-going, and takes about 3 hours. It crosses varied countryside – river, native bush, open country, rocky outcrops and some forestry – and gives good views from the higher parts.

There is also another shorter (1 km, 20 minutes) walk to a very spectacular escarpment formation adjacent to the car park.
