NOTE:  This trip has been postponed until later in the year and has been replaced by a walk at Lake Alexandrina on Sunday 15 May.  The new date for the Herbert Forest walk will be advised as soon as it is known.

There are several tracks in this forest, south of Oamaru.  For this trip the plan is to walk one of the larger loop tracks which passes through a variety of vegetation and offers several vantage points for good views over the surrounding countryside.  The walk will take about five hours and a moderate level of fitness will be required.
