This hut (6 bunks) is beside the Jollie River, at the top end of Lake Pukaki on the eastern side.

There is a walk of 11 km to get to the hut – all mostly flat river valley travel apart from an undulating section near the start.  Jollie Hut is walked past at the 3 km stage.

The plan for this trip is to stay the first night at Green Point Hut, then explore further up the valley the next day – either camping out there or returning to the hut for another night – before returning to the road on the final day.
