Day Tramp in the Nimrod Scenic Reserve 11 September 2016
An early Sunday morning start eight of us headed out west to the Nimrod reserve below Mt Nimrod. By around 8.30am we were all ready to make a start of the loop track around the reserve starting by crossing over Nimrod stream and gaining height through the zig zag track which leads out of the bush into sub alpine terrain before dropping back into the stream with a short diversion to the picturesque Nimrod Falls and time for a few photo’s after which it was time to make a sharp climb from the falls back into the sub alpine terrain and the highest point of the track with great 360 degree views together with a well-deserved lunch break ,from there it was a downhill run back to the reserve car park where the day tramp terminated and the end of another successful outing ,everyone agreeing we had a great day out.
Members of the party were Ross, Michael, Neville, David, Julie, Bruce, Chris and myself.
