Acland Shelter – 6 June 2020

We headed to Staveley to start tramping on a very cold morning in blue sky.  Five of us headed up hill past Hookey Knob then onwards to Staveley Hill. The weather changed for the worst so three turned back but Catherine and Barry decided to keep going towards shelter.  Snow was falling around us along the walk to shelter. It was long walk but once out of the forest, we came across the shelter. What a great site! We had lunch, then headed back to car park and onwards to a cafe for refreshments. Barry, Cathryn, Michael, Dorothy and Neville.
