DESCRIPTION:Our 2025 AGM will be held on 10 March\, starting at 7:30 pm at our usual meeting venue – Church Street Bible Chapel Hall\, corner Church Street and Avenue Road\, Timaru. \nAll members are welcome to attend\, along with anybody else interested in finding out about the club’s activities.  Don’t be afraid to come along.  You won’t be press-ganged into joining the committee or taking any of the other roles up for grabs or organising trips – unless you want to!! \nOnce the AGM part is over we can all have a casual discussion about the sort of things we would like to see the club doing for the rest of the year. \nThere will also be an opportunity to show photos of any trips you have done – so if you can get them on a pen-drive we will display them on the screen.

SUMMARY:Green Point Hut: Two-night Trip
DESCRIPTION:This trip was scheduled for December but had to be cancelled\, so let’s hope it’s “second time lucky” this time! \nThe hut has six bunks and is beside the Jollie River\, at the top end of Lake Pukaki on the eastern side.  To get there it is an 11 km walk up the river valley.  Apart from an undulating section near the start it is mostly flat going.  Along the way you walk past Jollie Hut (at the 3 km stage). \nThe plan for this trip is to stay the first night at Green Point Hut\, then explore further up the valley the next day – either camping out there or returning to the hut for another night – before returning to the road on the final day. \nGrade: Moderate\nOrganiser: Catherine 027 7163518\nMap references: BY16

SUMMARY:Little Mt Peel: Day Trip
DESCRIPTION:For some\, an easy training exercise. For others\, a bit of an uphill grunt! \nRegardless\, you get to walk uphill through bush and then open tops which give good views over a large part of South Canterbury.  On the way up you will be able to check out the seat the club installed three years ago to kick-off our 50th anniversary celebrations.  Bring your lunch and enjoy it at the top. \nThe meeting place will be in the Aorangi Stadium car park at 8:15 on Sunday morning. \nGrade: Moderate\nOrganiser: Hazel (03) 6882032 / 021 1705622
