SUMMARY:Huxley Forks: Three Day Trip - Cancelled (New date not yet set)
DESCRIPTION:This trip unfortunately had to be cancelled at short notice.  It is hoped that it can be run at another time. \nCelebrate King’s Birthday weekend by tramping in this lovely valley up past the head of Lake Ohau. \nAt this stage the plan is to go to Huxley Forks Hut on the first day\, and maybe go on to Brodrick Hut the next day\, then out to the vehicle(s) on the third day.  The alternative plan is to have two nights at Huxley Forks Hut\, allowing a day to explore around that area\, before coming out on the third day.  The decision made will depend on the number of other people in the area and the wishes of those in the party. \nGrade: Easy to Moderate\nOrganiser: Ben 027 3880671

DESCRIPTION:This will be at our usual venue (Church Street Bible Chapel Hall\, corner Church Street and Avenue Road\, Timaru) and will start at 7:30 pm.  All members and all others interested in what the club is doing are welcome to attend. \nThis month the theme will be “What’s in my pack?”.  Bring along your pack as you would have it for either a day trip or an overnight trip – and be prepared for a “show and tell” session on the night.  You don’t have to include the food if you don’t want to. \nAs usual of course\, there will be a round-up of what’s been and what’s coming up\, followed by tea and coffee.

SUMMARY:Mt Nimrod Scenic Reserve: Day Trip - Postponed
DESCRIPTION:This trip has been postponed.  A revised date of 20 August has been set. \nA 3 km loop track taking 2 to 3 hours to complete\, at the foot of the Hunter Hills about 20 km west of Timaru.  This trip is excellent both for beginners and for those with more experience.  The track is well-formed\, has an interesting mixture of up and down\, a short side stroll to a pretty waterfall\, and great views from the open tops. \nGrade: Easy to Moderate\nOrganiser: Hazel 021 1705622

SUMMARY:Rakaia Gorge Walkway: Day Trip
