Redcliffe Conservation area is part of the Mount Hutt Range just south of Rakaia river. It also adjoins Hakatere Conservation Park at Mount Hutt. Tribulation Hut is a 3-

Saturday. Head to Great Barrier Island.
Sunday –Tuesday Kayak the area
Saturday or Sunday return.
Fly from airport Costs $240 return but limited to 15 kg in small packages.
Kayak hire $70/day for double.
Huts require booking and payment. Camping on beach camp grounds while kayaking.

The Branches -
On the 4th we will travel to the Branches Station where we will stay the night in the shearer’s quarters.
Next day we drive to the Sixteen mile hut do some exploring and stay the night.
Friday the 6th we put our packs on and head for Locknagar where we stay the night, some of us in tents.
Saturday we make our way back to sixteen mile hut hopefully do some exploring on the way.
Sunday we make our way home

Jacks Hill Mount Algidus 24th -
Grade: Moderate /Hard
To get to the planned camp site it will be necessary to cross the Rakaia and Mathias Rivers so this trip is very weather dependent. Jacks Hill is 2191 metres and lies between the Mistake and Chimera Creeks in the Rolleston Range on Mount Algidus Station. We will drive to the Mauka Point Station Garage up the South side of the Rakaia River and walk from there.

Light House to Lighthouse Evening Walk Monday 12th January
In place of our regular monthly meeting we will have an evening walk. We will meet at 6.15pm at the car park at the tennis courts Benvenue Avenue. A vehicle/vehicles will be relocated to the other end of walk at Jacks Point.

Big Mt Peel Sat 10th Jan
It will be an early start as this will be a long day’s walk.

continuing along the ridge past Middle Mount Peel and onto Big

Fox Peak 28th February -
We have been invited to join the Methven Tramping Club for their trip to Fox Peak. We will climb Fox Peak on Sat,Moderate to Hard. Then stay in the Fox Peak Lodge on Sat night. On Sunday will be an easy day out to the North Opuha, visiting the Spurs Hut.

Mount Wintersloe Sunday 12th April 2015
Mount Wintersloe is situated just north of Mount Somers. The planned route is to go up from Staverly to Dukes Knob, through the bush and ten up the ridge to the summit. This is a longish day’s tramp.

Camp Stream hut and return as day walk. This is a part of the Te Araroa Trail and on the two thumb range starting from the Lake Tekapo end.
